Sacred Heart Of Jesus Enthronement Centre Marks 2019 Rally


In the year 2006, the formation of The Provincial Enthronement centre was introduced by the National Sacred Heart of Jesus Enthronement Centre Ghana, under the leadership of Sis. Dame Cecilia Kwofie and approved by the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

The centre is to co-ordinate the activities of the various diocesan canters in the province and to help increase the level of the propagation of The Sacred Heart of Jesus, Divine Mercy and Immaculate Heart of Mary Devotions.

The 3RD Accra Provincial Sacred Heart and Tarcisian Rally 2019 which transpired at St. Augustine parish & R/C schools, Ashaiman is a three-day-event which focused on the theme: preparing the youth (Tarcisian) for responsibilities in the church through the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Divine Mercy and Immaculate Heart of Mary Devotions vis a vis promotion of Tarcisians in the confraternity”

The Activities of day 1 included a talk by Very Rev. Fr. Prince Emmanuel Adelaayitar under the theme:  the role of a tarcisian in the devotion of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Divine Mercy and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

On day 2 the Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Most Rev. John Alphonse Asiedu, SVD, and Apostolic Vicar of Donkorkrom Vicariate. The 2nd talk of day-2 was by Rev. Fr. Evance Sena Halolo, Chaplain of St. Thomas Aquinas SHS-Cantonments Accra focused on preparing the Devotee /Tarcisian to understand the tradition of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Divine Mercy and Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Tarcisians also had A WALK WITH MARY FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD where they evangelized AND prayed the rosary in English and selected Ghanaian dialect … Ewe Twi, & Ga.

Day 3 served as a day of thanksgiving. There was a solemn Eucharistic celebration to mark the group’s centenary, presided over by Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra.

Rally resolution, inter diocesan rally quiz as well as awards to committed and deserving members also took place at the rally.

Goodwill messages were from Archbishop John Bonaventure Kwofie CSSp, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah –Agyekum, Catholic Bishop of Koforidua, and many more.

The 1st Accra Provincial Rally was hosted by Jasikan Diocese at St. Peter Clever Cathedral from 9th to 11TH November, 2012 while the 2nd Provincial Rally took place at keta Akatsi Diocese at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Denu from 27th to 29th September, 2014.
